DIAMOND AND GOLD-BASE METAL PROJECT, QUEBEC

The Notre Dame du Nord Project in Quebec covers over 8,900 hectares and hosts 3 kimberlite pipes, two new kimberlites discovered by drilling and multiple high-priority geophysical and geochemical targets to evaluate.

The known kimberlites on the Quebec properties form part of the New Liskeard kimberlite field, along the Lake Timiskaming Structural Zone. On the western edge of the New Liskeard kimberlite field in Ontario, Sudbury Contact Mines Ltd. released news on May 28, 2004 which clearly demonstrates commercial sized diamond populations occur in the Timiskaming/Temagami areas.

On Tres-Or’s Quebec properties, the Guigues pipe was the first kimberlite discovered in 1983 by DeBeers. Private diamond testing by DeBeers is not available, but subsequently 3 closely spaced drill holes testing a small portion of the pipe in the early 1990’s yielded a colorless 2.0X1.0X0.5mm diamond from 23 tonnes tested. In 1994, a 3 lobe kimberlite, Tres-Or’s Troika pipe was discovered and subsequently, 5 drill holes intersected kimberlite and all were diamondiferous. The first hole reportedly yielded 22 microdiamonds from 22 kilograms tested. In 1995 the third pipe was discovered 500 metres north of the Troika. Original testing failed to yield any diamonds, but later retesting yielded a sharp octahedral microdiamond.

Tres-Or’s 2004 winter exploration program was designed to test high-priority magnetic targets resulting from a proprietary 1,475 line kilometer helicopter-borne magnetic and electromagnetic survey completed in December 2003. Two kimberlite discoveries were made in the first 2 targets drill tested. Further ground work is continuing to delineate the kimberlite discoveries and to define several other priority targets remaining to be tested.

Gold-Base Metal Targets

Tres-Or expanded the Notre Dame du Nord project to include 20 additional claims which cover gold and base metal targets, as well as diamond potential. Tres-Or’s proprietary airborne geophysical data identified a previously untested conductor. The property was expanded to cover the extension of a buried volcanic belt of over 10 km in strike length which has yielded reported gold, copper and zinc showings in the past. Geophysical interpretation identified a significant 5 line conductor which is consistent with massive sulphides associated with the contact of a buried volcanic belt. Recommended work includes extending the airborne geophysics, sampling, mapping and diamond drilling.

Tres-Or is pleased to report that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Timiskaming First Nation. The signing of this agreement charts a new course for exploration in the region as Tres-Or works in partnership with the First Nation in exploring the large land base which makes up their traditional lands.
